Richard R. Capote was raised in Western New York, and is a graduate of Williamsville North High School. He attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a degree in Political Science.

Mr. Capote obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, graduating cum laude. While attending Law School, Mr. Capote served on the Moot Court Board of Advocates and competed in multiple internal and national competitions. Mr. Capote has experience in various corporate, employment, and real estate matters. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County and the American Bar Association. Mr. Capote is admitted to the New York State Bar.

When not in the office, Mr. Capote enjoys spending time with his fiancée hiking, biking and kayaking around Western and Central New York. An avid sports fan, Mr. Capote is a Bills season ticket holder. Mr. Capote is also an active volunteer for the SSG William R. Wilson III Memorial Foundation, which was established in memory and honor of “Billy”, who was a staff sergeant in the US Army and killed in Action in Afghanistan. The foundation raises funds that are used to directly assist veterans, veterans’ families, and the families of fallen soldiers such as WNY Heroes.

Mr. Capote and his fiancée, Ashlyn, live in Amherst, New York.
