Amy J. Vigneron

Amy J. Vigneron's legal background is as diverse as it is extensive. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in political science and history from the State University of New York College at Oswego and her Juris Doctor Degree from Syracuse University. While at Syracuse University Ms. Vigneron served as Editor in Chief of "The Labor Lawyer," a publication of the American Bar Association's Section of Labor and Employment Law. She was also an editorial staff member of "The Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce."


A partner at Cohen and Lombardo, P.C, Ms. Vigneron has vast experience in the areas of real estate law, commercial lending, corporate law and commercial litigation. She represents purchasers, sellers and developers of commercial real estate and multi-tenant facilities in addition to representing lending institutions in various business, financing and real estate transactions. Other legal matters have involved her representation of purchasers and sellers in stock and asset transactions for corporations and other business enterprises. In the lending area, Ms. Vigneron has closed many construction and permanent real estate mortgage loans and all types of lending including term loans, lines of credit and revolving credit arrangements on behalf of a nationally known financial institution. Ms. Vigneron is counsel to many corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietors, lending her expertise to her clients in achieving their business goals.


Prior to joining us in 2002, she also handled cases in the area of general and special education law representing public school districts in due process hearings and in other litigation concerning special education matters. Ms. Vigneron is admitted to practice in the Courts of New York and the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of New York. She is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County and the New York State Bar Association.


In addition to her professional memberships, Ms. Vigneron remains active in the Western New York community. She currently serves on the advisory Board for paralegal studies at Daemen College and is active in the Amherst Chamber of Commerce having served on the Business Resource Council Advisory Board, (the voice of small business) and the Chamber’s Board of Directors. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for MusicalFare Theatre. Since 2017 Ms. Vigneron has been Legal Counsel to the Cheektowaga Economic Development Corporation.  Her duties include representing the CEDC as lender in commercial loan closings to Town of Cheektowaga businesses to foster growth in those areas.  She previously served on the Board of Directors for both the Joan A. Male Family Support Center Agency and its Foundation and was President of both. Ms. Vigneron is a former member of the Board of Directors for Working for Downtown and a former volunteer ski instructor for the Lounsbury Adaptive Ski Program at Holiday Valley. She has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Kevin Guest House, and with the "Who Does What Commission" charged with investigating the status of the Erie County Public Library System. In addition, Ms. Vigneron has previously volunteered as an attorney with the Erie County Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Attorney of the Morning program representing tenants in landlord-tenant court matters.


In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, downhill skiing and traveling.

 

Ms. Vigneron concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate, commercial banking, real estate, bankruptcy and consumer credit law.
