Kate graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a Bachelor’s of Arts and was very involved with the Student Association, helping to plan and organize yearly student concerts and the speaker series. While attending New York Law School, Kate held a clerkship in the Appellate Division, Fourth Department and worked for the City of New York. Throughout law school, she was involved in several outreach programs, working with felons re-entering society and educating inner-city students on their civil rights. Ms. Nowadly was admitted to practice law in New York State and moved back to Buffalo to practice, which was always her goal.
Kate has had an exciting and varied career that has afforded her experience in a number of areas of law. She has extensive experience as a trial attorney and in arguing Appellate motions. Kate has worked in a myriad of areas of law, from Election and Civil Rights Law, to Medicaid and Estate-planning to Family Law and finds that all these areas are rewarding in their own way.
In her spare time, Kate lends herself to volunteering for various local political campaigns, maintaining and improving her own neighborhood in Buffalo’s West Side and volunteers with Journey’s End and The Priscilla Project at Jericho Road, working to help Buffalo’s refugee and immigrant population flourish on the West Side and throughout the Buffalo region. She is very dedicated to seeing the city of Buffalo thrive and flourish and moved back to the area to be a part of Buffalo’s resurgence.
