JAMES J. NASH was appointed Town Prosecutor for the Town of Hamburg, a part time position that will allow him to continue as a full time partner with our firm. Congratulations to Jim!

MICHELLE SCHWACH MIECZNIKOWSKI participated in the New York City Marathon on November 7, 2014, and successfully completed the entire course. She said it was tough, with 30-miles per hour winds on the bridges. This is her first marathon and we congratulate her on her endurance and enthusiasm!

MARYANN SACCOMANDO FREEDMAN was honored by the National Federation for Just Communities on January 29, 2015 at a luncheon held in the Convention Center in recognition of her leadership in the field of Law.

CHRISTOPHER POOLE was elected to the Board of Directors of the Elmwood Village Association continuing our firm’s commitment to the Elmwood Village community.

MICHELLE SCHWACH MIECZNIKOWSKI was also quoted extensively in a recent issue of the Buffalo Law Journal about her views regarding needed improvements to the Family Court system. As an attorney who frequently appears in Family Court representing our clients, she has firsthand knowledge of the difficulties that attorneys and their clients encounter in Family Court seeking resolution of their difficult family matters.

COHEN AND LOMBARDO employees engaged in two holiday projects this season:

· We continued our support of the Haven House Toyland Project, which allowed us to give gifts and gather supplies for residents at Haven House, which is a shelter run by Child and Family Services. The project provided victims of domestic abuse who are residents of Haven House, with a place to “shop” for appropriate toys and gifts, and provided the shelter with much needed supplies.

· In the second project, we worked with the Disabled American Veterans group to send care packages to our soldiers stationed overseas.

Thank you for your excellent service. We appreciated your patience and expertise as we worked through the important process of formulating a will and other related matters. It’s great to have you “on our side”
