NEWS FROM COHEN & LOMBARDO, P.C., SECOND QUARTER 2015

Continuing the firm’s commitment to serving the Bar and the Community, JAMES J. NASH successfully ran for the position of Director of the Bar Association of Erie County. KATHERINE J. BESTINE was elected to the Nominating Committee as well.
JAMES J. NASH was recently awarded an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is a Peer Rating Review resulting from a survey of more than 30 attorneys and judges who rated Jim on his legal skills and ability. Congratulations on this awesome recognition.

TERRIE BENSON MURRAY was elected recording secretary for Chapter CM of PEO (Philanthropic Education Organization), a women’s organization whose mission is to provide loans and scholarships for women pursuing higher education both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She will serve for a two-year term.

COHEN AND LOMBARDO is the corporate sponsor for the Buffalo Presidential Center’s Presidential Heritage film clip being show before each movie at the North Park Theatre on Hertel Avenue. Come on out to see it!

COHEN AND LOMBARDO employees engaged in three service projects this quarter:
  • Seventeen of our attorneys, staff and their families participate in the Hospice 5K Walk on May 17, 2015. It was a fun filled event with lots of sunshine, beginning at Canalside and winding through downtown Buffalo.
  • Thirteen of our attorneys and staff enthusiastically took part in Lawyers for Learning Bowling Event, sponsored by the Bar Association of Erie County to raise funds for the Lawyers for Learning Program. We sent two teams with amazing bowling skills to assist in this program. One of our teams was absolutely fantastic! We won’t talk about the other one whose bowling skills where truly unbelievable!
  • A “Dress Down” Day was held in mid-May in which each person was allowed to wear jeans if they contributed to the firm’s Charitable Fund. It was a rousing success!
ERIN E. MOLISANI and her husband, Seth, are supporting the resurgence of the Elmwood Village district, by purchasing the first home as newlyweds around the corner from our office. She can now walk to the office for her daily workout.
